TEAM KNOCK-OUT RULES 2017-18 -
CHANGES ARE SHOWN IN RED
Matches are to start no later than 8.30pm -
Open Board NO LATER than 8.00pm
WINNERS are the first team to score
FIVE points
Matches may be played with a minimum of SIX players
MATCH FORMAT and ORDER of PLAY
2 x 1 leg games with teams of 3 players from each side x 701
Each
team captain will write six players names on paper – These will then be
numbered from 1 to 6
The
opposing captains will draw the names out by using playing cards numbered
from 1 to 6
The
first three names drawn will constitute the first team of three and the
players drawn from 4 to 6 the second team of three.
Order drawn will also be the order of throwing and first three drawn will
play the first team of three
on
the opposing side and players drawn 4 to 6 likewise.
2 x 1 leg games with teams of 4 players from each side x 801
The method of draw will be the same as the threes but adding the additional
two players required.
In the event of teams playing with Six or Seven players –
One or Two players as necessary will be card drawn from the those present by
the opposing captain.
Those selected will play in third and fourth places in the second four.
4 x Best of 3 leg games with teams of 2 players from each side x 501
The
method of draw is the same as fours but teams split into pairs by the draw
When a playing pair wins 2 legs the game shall be deemed over and the
winning pair will be awarded
ONE point which will be added to the teams running match total.
If third leg is required, first player in each team will throw for BULL to
win First Throw
In the event of teams playing with Six or Seven players –
One or Two players as necessary will be card drawn from the four players who
have NOT already played
TWICE in the FOURS to constitute the Fourth Pair. This will be done by the
opposing Captain
1 x 1 leg game with teams of 8 players from each side x 1001
Eight
players names from each side will be written on paper and order of throwers
will be drawn
In the event of teams playing with Six or Seven players –
Those present will be drawn in order using the same draw system as previous
legs and those
players who have not already played twice will be added in seventh and
eighth places as necessary.
All
games to be Straight Start and Double Finish
Throw for bullseye for first throw in first leg in each game.
Referee/Caller to adjudicate on first thrower.
In
the event of any re-throws, players will alternate in order of throwing for
bull
Home player to throw first in first game of match (ie: Threes), then
alternate through remaining games.
In
games where more than one leg is being played, first throw will then
alternate
Result cards must be completed as per league games and are the
responsibility of Home Team.
Callers and Chalkers will be one from each team for each game.
